Nurture Gnomes – Gnome Buddy / Pocket Friend

I am a wife, mum to two adult sons (the youngest of whom is autistic).
Until recently, I have spent 24 years working in special needs education
and currently work as a parent support volunteer for our local autism
charity.

During Covid I wrote a children’s book about a little gnome who struggled
to talk about his emotions and this sparked the idea of using my skills to
create a range of resources designed to support children’s social
emotional development. These are currently being used by parents,
schools and play therapists.

In October 2022 I was lucky enough to win a small business award from
Theo Paphitis (Dragon’s Den) and this year was a finalist in the Rising Star
Category, winning a Highly Commended Award from We Are The City
(women in business).

Personalised pebbles for children who would love a little pocket pal, all tucked
 up in a little jute bag. Sometimes, just having something to hold can be 
soothing and calming. It can help re-focus from any anxieties or used as a gift 
(perfect pocket size for starting a new school or term) and for children to know
 they are thought about throughout the day.
