Meet Chantelle – Founder & Heart of the Shop
Hello, I’m Chantelle – the heart and hands behind Bitsy Boutique. Since 2015, I’ve been creating a place where beautiful, high-quality gifts can be found with ease, helping people celebrate life’s moments with something truly special.
How It All Began
After earning my BSc Honours degree in Health and Community Studies, I quickly realised the traditional 9–5 life wasn’t for me. I wanted to build something of my own — something that brought joy to others.
I started small, selling products at local events, before opening my own Tearoom & Gift Shop. It was a dream come true, and in 2020, we were honoured with the Tearoom of the Year award and a 5-star rating.
Challenges & New Beginnings
That same year, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. My shop doors closed, and I faced a personal battle when I was diagnosed with Antisynthetase Syndrome and End-Stage Kidney Disease.
It was one of the toughest chapters of my life, but it didn’t stop me. I transformed Bitsy Boutique into a fully online gift shop, making it easier than ever for customers to find the perfect present from the comfort of their homes.
Spreading Positivity Every Day
Through all of life’s ups and downs, I’ve remained passionate about spreading positivity and finding the goodness in each day. On social media, I share my journey — both the triumphs and the challenges — creating a community built on honesty, encouragement, and connection.
Bitsy Boutique is more than just a shop to me; it’s a place where meaningful gifts meet heartfelt stories.
Supporting Small Businesses
As the shop grows, I’m expanding our range to include unique, one-of-a-kind creations from talented independent makers. This not only gives you more beautiful options to choose from but also helps other small businesses shine.
A Personal Touch
From my home in Huddersfield, I run Bitsy Boutique alongside raising my young son, my biggest source of motivation and the reason I work so hard to follow my dreams.
